It's all here! The recommended cf cards for Nikon D70
Every one needs to know the recommended cf cards for Nikon D70. When you use a piece of precision equipment like the Nikon D70 digital camera, your results are going to be very dependant on the “digital film” you use. For digital, many cameras, including the D70, a compact flash card is the standard memory card format.
Because it's the memory component of your camera, you really want it to be as robust and stable as possible, so you never have to worry about having your images wiped out.
I was unclear about the differences in cf cards, until I did some research and found out that indeed there are some major, but technical differences between cf card brands.
And I have also been asking around to my crew of professional photographer buddies who without reservation tell me to STAY AWAY from "generic" compact flash cards.
To avoid the agony of data recovery, use only these recommended cf cards for Nikon D70. There’s quite a choice, and a range of prices, so do your self a favor and stick with what’s been tested! I’m using the Lexar Media 80x WA* USB Series 1 GB compact flash card.
I actually have a few Lexar cf cards, including a couple of 512MB cards as well. Depending on what I’m shooting, and where, I feel better shooting on multiple cards – just in case one fails, there’s less chance that ALL my images won’t be lost.
Touch wood, I've never had a problem. And Lexar has a data recovery guarantee on their proffesional line of cf cards.
